So it’s making the decision, finding a vehicle that’s going to allow you to create what you want, then working. I think that’s where a lot of people fail. They’re going to say “It’s too hard.”

RACHEL

You’re right. You have to have the courage to follow through, even when things aren’t going well because the reality in business is that it’s going to be a full-on gravy train. It’s not going to be as simple as going from Point A to Point B. There’s going to be obstacles and challenges, and it’s a matter of overcoming each of those in the pursuit of creating what you want. The only way that you will fail is if you quit too soon in the pursuit of any successful outcome. You’ve got the resilience and the ability to force your way through those challenges, believe in yourself, and continue going for it.

So how do you stay focused when the gloom and doom rears its ugly head?

RACHEL

Those first five years of my business was a lot of doom and gloom. I’m a big fan of personal development books, so I continued and plugged myself into learning from other successful entrepreneurs. There are days where I spent 2-4 hours just absorbing audios or books to raise my vibrational state. Reading as much as you can even when things aren’t going so well will help.

You can also find your go-to place that can bounce you out of that doom and gloom to allow you to start vibrating at that high frequency. For me, I would take a walk or a run on the beach, go to the park, play with my little girl, and listen to music.

Do whatever you have to do to bounce yourself out of that negative state and take a leap of action because taking action is always the way to power through. Without it, you can get stuck in that negative rollercoaster. But if you’re someone who can utilize negative energy and turn it into something positive through action, you can bounce out the other side.
